Jeremy Fink and The Meaning of Life, by Wendy Mass, who also wrote A Mango-Shaped Space. A mystery, a quest, a story about friendship -- all in a modern-day typical school/home setting. And FUNNY! -- I chuckled a lot as I read this book. Highly recommended!
