  1. THE CITY OF EMBER
I would give this book 5 stars because it was very interesting. I couldn't put it down. The whole book took place underground. It was about a boy and a girl who were determined to save their city from eternal darkness. The only light the city had were lightbulbs, but those were running out fast and there were too many blackouts. When the city was built, the Builders filled rooms and rooms with cans of food, clothes, paper, books, etc. 241 years later they started to run out of supplies. The boy and the girl found a note that told them how to get out of the city. They followed the instructions that led them out of the city and into the light. Sadly they did not inform the rest of the city and know they have to find a way back to tell the rest of the people. I loved this book because it was a mixture of fantasy and reality. I would recommend this book to 5th and 6th graders, both boys and girls. The characters seemed very real in the story though the action was a little slow.

  2. THE SEA OF MONSTERS is the second book in the exiting series, Percy Jackson & the Olympians. This book is about a half-blood Percy, who is the son of the Greek god Poseidon and a mortal. Percy is told he will not be able to go to camp half-blood this summer, but he has been having dreams about his satyr friend Grover who appears to be in trouble so he has to go. When he arrives at camp with his new found Cyclopes brother and his friend Annabeth they discover that the tree that protects the camp from monster is poisoned. To save camp and Grover they must journey to the Sea of Monster. There they must travel to the home of a Cyclopes to take the golden fleece that can heel any plant or animal and save Grover from being eaten by the Cyclopes. Will they make it back to camp in time? Or will they even make it back ALIVE? If you want to find out read this funny, exiting and unpredictable tale.
The character in this book are real but heroic. Every character is different usually depending on there god. Like Annabeth is the daughter of Athena so she is wise, kind and sometimes a know-it-all. Or Clarisse is the daughter of Ares so she is bad tempered and has a thing for war. This is the best book I have ever read because it kept me reading and I never lost interest. I would look forward to reading it everyday. If I said one thing I didn't like about this book I would be lying. That's how good it was exiting, interesting and sometimes even a little beautiful. The way they described the sea of monsters or a person was so descriptive and interesting that it didn't feel like reading, more like a movie in your head. In my opinion I think this is a good book for boys and girls ages 10+ because it is always exiting and you can never get to old for and amazing book like this. This is a 5 star must read book. I loved it and I encourage you to read it too.

  3. i read Hatchet and i would give it four stars. It was exciting and i would say that it would be believable for a true story. The book was great the movie was awesome the book and the movie are not alike in the movie Brian killed a mother bear and he didn't know there were cubs so Brian had to take care of them and feed them until they were big enough to take care of them selfs that didn't happen in the book.Even though the book and the movie are not the same it still had a lot of the same events occurred like he had to put mud on him to protect himself from the mosquitos from bitting him.In the end the book was maybe one of the best book i ever read!

  4. I read the book FLUSH by Carl Hiaasen.
I would rate this book 5 stars. I loved it. It's funny and exciting. You never really know what is going to happen next. The book is about a boy named named Noah and his sister Abbey. Their dad is in jail for sinking a ship the CORAL QUEEN. The dad sank the ship because he saw them dump human waste in the ocean. No one ever had any proof of them dumping so he did not believed the dad when he said they dumped human wastes in the ocean. Their mom thinks about divorce because she is mad at the dad because he won't let her bail him out. Noah and Abbey try to help their dad prove the CORAL QUEEN dumps human waste in the ocean. While trying to help their dad they meet some strangers along the way. I like Noah and Abbey because they did not give up when it seemed impossible. I would recommend this book to 4th to 7th graders. Boys and girls will live this if you like funny ,adventure books.

  5. THE YOUNG MAN AND THE SEA Thursday, August 19,2010

The Young Man and the sea is about a kid who is poor and made fun of because he's poor. His boat has a leak and every day before and after his school he has to empty it. Then one day in the morning the sinks. He goes to a friend who tells him how to get the boat up and out of the water. When he gets it out of the water he realizes that it is broken and he cant fix it. Then one day he sees a japanese salesman who buys Bluefin Tuna and he thinks "maybe if i can catch one i can fix the boat".

I would give this book 4 stars. I liked this book because it was exciting, and adventurous. My favorite part of the book is when he catches the tuna.

  6. The Lighting Thief

I would have to rate this book four stars (****) because i really enjoyed it. This book always kept me wondering, what going to happen next? Also, i had little connections with the story. One connection was having the same feeling as the main characters had, that someone is watching you.

This story is about a teenage boy named percy jackson who is the son of a god, but doesn't know because there was a rule set for the gods that they are forbidden to see their children. Percy doesn't know that he's a son of of a god because his dad left when he was born and percy's mom, sally, doesn't talk about his father often because she wants to keep percy safe. The reason why she wants to keep percy safe is because the god of the sky thinks that percy is the one who stole the master bolt.

So now that people think that percy has the lighting bolt other gods are sending creatures after percy to retrieve the lightning bolt so that they can have all the power the lighting bolt has. But percy is not the one responsible for stealing the bolt. Someone els is just trying to start a war between the gods.

This book is a very interesting book because every page you read it will always keep you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed all the creative details and how all of the monsters were described. I also saw the movie but i have to admit, i enjoyed the book better than the movie. Since i saw the movie first, i liked that the book was different from the movie. Then the story wasn't so predictable. I would recommend this book for anyone ages 9 and up also for grades 5th through 9th. This book would be great for both boys and girls, especially if you love mysteries and criminal stories. I hope you will enjoy it like i did.

  7. HOOT by Carl Hiaasen
I would give this book a 5 out of 5 because this book was exciting. This book is about a boy named Roy who moves from place to place because his dad always gets promoted at his job. Since Roy changes schools a lot, he knows how to deal with bullies but when he meets Dana Matherson the school, the school bully, Roy tries to do what he usually does against bullies to get rid of him. One day when Roy gets bullied on the school bus, Dana shoves him against the window and Roy sees the running boy. When Roy meets the running boy he teams up to stand up for what's right to save some owls. This book always kept me on edge because the characters were not predictable or boring or predictable. To me the characters are real because it sounds like someone would stand up for something like that. The characters do not connect with me because I have not been bullied before. I loved the way the author described all the places Roy or his friends visited. Both boys and girls can read this book and the age level is from 9 years old to 12 years old.

  8. HOOT Roy isa new kid who moves to Coconut Cove, Florida. He encounters a bully, Dana, who is out to get him; and a strange running boy who doesn't live at home or go to school. Roy discovers the the running boy is sabotaging an illegal pancake house cover-up.I think the characters in this book were hilarious. An example is when the running boy puts alligators in "The traveling johnnies."I would give this book 4 out of 4 stars. I think boys and girls 5th through 8th grade will like this book.

  9. I would rate Bud,Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis a three star book because when I read it I never wanted to put it down , it was a overall enjoyable book. This book is about a 10-year-old boy named Bud (not Buddy ) who ran away from the orphanage he was staying at to find his father. As he travels across Michigan from Flint to the Grand Rapids he meets a lot of different people. One of the many reasons I liked Bud , Not buddy is because throughout the story he mentions some of his rules he calls Bud Caldwell's Rules and Things to Have a Funner life and Making a Better Lier out of yourself. I think any 5th or 6th grader would enjoy this funny ,adventurous book.

  10. HEARTBEAT, by Sharon Creech

Annie's life is changing with each and every day, just like the apple she's been assigned to draw one hundred times.
Annie loves running barefoot, in grass, over rivers, and with her best friend Max. Her steady heart beating as she runs is the most solid, familiar thing amongst a forgetful grandfather, pregnant mother, and a Max gone moody. As she run, run, runs, she will encounter secrets of her grandpa's past and Max's true feelings.
I'd give this book 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. Like many of Sharon Creech's books, each sentence is composed of beautiful non-rhyming poetry. I love the way Mrs Creech is able to produce this book using the elegant, poetic sayings that she masterfully creates. The story action is a bit slow, but the amusing and interesting story action makes up for it. The characters hold real positions, such as forgetful old folk, pregnant people, moody people, and one sweet girl realizing the patterns of life and how she fits in them. I think the lesson learned is that even if you can't stop change, you are still loved and have a important role in life. Annie has a lot to go through on her own, which is how I can relate to her. I understand how she feels unsure of who to talk to, but she manages very well on her own. She tells her story of bravery and curiosity, and I'd recommend this book to anyone from 4th to 7th grade.
This is the kind of book that keeps you hooked and makes you never wanting to stop reading. If that's what you're looking for, read this!!

  11. BUD, NOT BUDDY by Christopher Paul Curtis is about a young boy at the age of ten abandoning his foster home in 1936 in Flint, michigan. Bud has been living in this foster home because his mother died when he was six years old, but now that he has escaped he decides that he wants to find his father.
I liked this book because it told the story of a young boy who seemed so real, wandering alone by himself. This book was also cool because Bud was the author of "Bud Caldwell's Rules and Things for Having a Funner Life and Making a better Liar Out of Yourself". Another thing I liked bout this book is how funny Bud Caldwell was, he was always so worried about what people thought about him. Then he just come up with these ridiculous ideas! To me personally though I don't think we really relate to him. I don't think we compare because he lived in a foster home and I don't. Another reason I don't think I really compare to him because his mother is gone and he doesn't really know who his father is.
I think this book is for both boys and girls because even though the entire story is mainly about this boy I think other girls would enjoy this book as well. I think this book would be appropriate for girls and boys age ten and up because the main character is about ten.
I would give this book a rating of four and a half stars because at some points it feels a little boring but then all of a sudden it gets really interesting! Other than hat though I enjoyed this book so much and I think that anybody that wants to read this book will enjoy it at well!

  13. THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY by Trenton Lee Stewart
If you love mysteries that keep you guessing what will happen next, and then continuously prove you wrong, than you will love THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY. THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY is about for special children who are chosen through a series of tests to investigate the cause of the "Emergency". The "Emergency" is a series of problems around the world. Problems including flaws in government, flaws in economy, and other global flaws. Want to know what caused the "Emergency"? Than read the book. This book is thoroughly enjoyable. You will find yourself trying to solve riddles along with the characters. The story is captivating and will keep you wondering what surprises the pages hold. The book also delves in the main characters' personas. It is interesting to see the personal struggles of the characters and see how they handle it. All of the characters have different skills and abilities, and it is interesting to se how they com into play. This book definitely deserves five stars. Boys and girls can both enjoy this book. My 5th grade teacher read it an recommended it to my class. I think that generally this book is for grades 4th-6th, but I think that people of any age could enjoy this book.

  14. THE LIGHTNING THEIF. I would rate this book four out of five stars because it was great adventure story, it always always kept me guessing.Percy Jackson was never a normal to begin with, but i got weirder when his best friend Grover turned out to be a satyr (a half man half goat), and Percy the son of Poseidon, the Greek god. Percy gets sent to camp half blood by Grover, where all half god people go. His life changes forever, and he meets a girl called Annabeth. He is sent on a quest with his friends to get Zeus' master bolt, which is supposedly stolen by Hades. This book was cool and interesting because it talked about Greek gods. I do not have anything in common with Percy because i do not live in a apartment, my dad is not Poseidon, and my friends are not satyrs. The author still described the story well and i could imagine it well. I would recommend this book to boys and girls age to nine to thirteen if you like adventure stories

  15. PERCY JACKSON AND THE LIGHTING THIEF by RICK RIORDAN

The book I read about was percy jackson and the lighting thief

This story is about a boy who thinks he has the hardest life. He soon finds out that his BFF Grover is a Satyar and Percy is the son of Poseidon the God of the sea and horse. On the quest he he faces the God of war, Ares and he sets him and his friends by putting the master bolt in to his bag

the book I read was funny in some parts. This story is quite Interesting. It kept me guessing what would happen next, and it taught me some history, witch is so cool.It taught me some of the Greek Gods name. There was a lot of adventure in this story , like the action parts where they fought the furies and when fought Ares. This book has a lot of mystery and I love adventure books to . If iI could rate this book iI would give it a 7. I think a boy and a girl would also enjoy this book as much as I did.

  16. The book, THE LIGHTNING THIEF, is a fantasy book written by Rick Riordan. I would give this book four star rating because the story is full of breathtaking actions and wild adventures. The story revolves around Percy Jackson. Percy Jackson used to be a normal sixth grade student. He was on a field trip when he was suddenly attacked by a Fury. This book is exciting because of many characters involved like the Medusa, Fury , Minotaur , ,Chimera , ,Cerberus and theGreek Gods. I like the way the author blended ancient greek mythology with modern day America. It was interesting the way the author kept the tension up by always using prophesies to solve the mysteries behind the missing master bolt. Soon, it became apparent that Percy's quest seemed to be also my quest. It kept me thinking and, analyzing and looking for clues to sort of help Percy in his quest. You wouldn't really what would happen next. I like Percy because he is a courageous young man. He is determined to clear his name that's why he trained hard in sword fighting. In the beginning of the book, Percy Jackson was just a kid who kept on being bullied and picked on. As you read through out the book , Percy becomes more in himself. I would recommend this book to any fifth to sixth grader school boys and girls especially if they like greek mythology and adventure

  17. THE GIVER by Lois Lowry
I enjoyed this book because there's always a surprise and twist around the corner, and there's mystery throughout the book. The giver would be enjoyed by both girls and boys. I would recommend age levels 10 and up. I would rate this book 4 stars because it appeals to me and it's exciting and unpredictable. I love that the author, Lois Lowry, describes the community and all the characters have their own personalities . Jonas, the main character lives in peaceful, Sustainable community, that has practices that include: Being assigned a job at 12 and earning responsibilities as you age. Jonas, being brave and intelligent was chosen to be assigned a task of becoming The Giver. As the book progresses Jonas decides that everyone should share the burden of bearing the knowledge .

  18. CHARLIE AND THE GREAT GLASS ELEVATOR
Charlie and the great glass elevator was the second book of Charlie and the Chocolate factory. They start off in the great glass elevator and they go on an adventure in space.
What I liked about this book was how funny it is and Willy Wonka. Willy Wonka is funny, he is SUPER random and he makes up weird but songs.
I think this book is good and Rold Dahl is a great author.
Overall I rate this book **** out of ***** snowflake things. Because at first it doesn't make at sense whatsoever how his grandparents bed got in the elevator.

  19. THE RED PYRAMID
THE RED PYRAMID ia a great book by Rick Riodan. The book is about a boy named Carter Kane and his little sister Sadie Kane. They have to save the world and their dad from a evil god named Set. Along the journey, they learn that they are magicians, and they are possessed by gods that are fighting against set. THey are being protected by a cat god from set's minions. Sadie is sorta funny, and carter is brave and is worried about everything. THe book was very exciting. This is one of the best books i have ever read so i rate it 5 stars. You will never know what will happen next in the book, and after each chapter, you want to read another and another. This book is for boys and girls ages 10 - 14. 21. FLUSH
    By: Carl Hiassen

Flush is about a boy named Noah Underwood. HHe has a sister named Abbie, who asks a lot of personal questions. His mom, Donna, is caring and even tempered. His dad ,Paine, is passionate about the environment nut can be very impulsive. The story begins when his dad capsizes a casino boat that he believes that dumps human waste in the ocean. The casino boat is owned by Dusty Muleman.

I would give this book 4 stars, because it really drew me into the story. I really like the way Carl Hiassen writes because he makes the characters funny and sometimes a little different and weird. I connected with the book because it painted a picture n my head, which made it east to relate to how the characters were feeling, and that made it easier to understand.

This book is for boys and girls, because i think any gender would like it. Thee age recommended would be from 9-14 years old.

  22. THE CITY OF EMBER
Doon Harrow and Lina Mayfleet have lived in the City of Ember ever since they were born. The people say the the City of Ember is the only light in the dark world. There is one problem; the generator that powers the city is failing and the people are having constant blackouts that keep getting longer and darker each time. Lina and Doon believe that they have found instructions-possibly for a way out.
I loved this book because it was like a puzzle. It kept me turning the pages. The story action is interesting; the author really gets you wrapped up in what is happening to the characters. I can kind of relate to the story and characters even though they live a way different life then us. The people of ember don't know what a candle, boat, or pineapple is but Lina is confident and really good at soling puzzles. that is how i can relate to Lina. Also she loves to run and she is really athletic just like me.This book is for both boys and girls.the age level is 10-13. I would give this book a four star.

  23. FLUSH
Have you ever believed in something so much you did something bad to prove it? Noah's father has. Noah is one of the main characters in Flush and the son of Paine Underwood. Paine cares very much about the environment and has done many things but none of them are as bad as the time he sunk the Coral Queen, a boat owned by Dusty Muleman, that he believes flushes the waist from the toilets into the ocean. Paine could not prove it so he got stuck in jail, leaving his son Noah, and daughter Abby determined to bust Dusty.
I would give this book five stars because it had a great plot that never got boring. The characters came alive and I laughed at myself for imagining what might not even been close to what it would look like in a movie or to what Carl Hiaasen, the author of this book, imagined. This book is for boys and girls from the age of ten to twelve. The story was not predictable which allowed you to try to create your own story. The characters personalities varied from tough, rude, nice and a little bit smart mouthed. The characters don't really connect to my life because I think I would end up being a little bit more chicken then Abby and Noah and stop what I was doing before it was possible to get hurt, to involved or very much in trouble. I loved how inspiring this book was. It really gives out a message to A: even though you might get hurt in the process, fight for what you believe in and B: it is up to everyone on this planet to get green so our world won't go crashing down. I loved this book and I think you would to. I hope you consider reading Flush.

  24. I read the book ANGUS, THONGS AND FULL-FRONTAL SNOGGING. The story is about a fourteen year old girl that lives with her mom, dad, little sister Libby, and her half Scottish wildcat, Angus.
Soon Georgia and her best friend Jas discover two gorgeous boys named Robbie and Tom. soon Jas starts dating Tom. Georgia finds out that Robbie is three years older than her but soon enough they start falling for each other.
I very much liked this book. it was very interesting and very unpredictable. I thought the character Georgia and I had a connection when Georgia cared more about how everyone else thought more about her than she did. i think Georgia is a random and crazy girl.
I think this story is an all girls book. i don't think boys would like to read about a girl who tries to steel a boy's heart. I also think book would be ten and up because of naughty language. I would give this book a rating of four and a half of five stars. I defiantly recommend this book.

  25. Bud Not Buddy By Christopher Paul Curtis

Bud spent some time with a foster family and he decided to go find his dad.
Bud goes on a adventure to find his Dad and on his way he meets a truck driver that live where his dad lives.
I would give this book four star for how you can imagine Bud and what he had to sacrifice. You can understand the author and what he is thinking. I think it suits my reading and me because its like you don't know what is going to happen next.

  26. THE LIGHTNING THIEF by:Rick Roirdan
I would rate this book four stars because it was very interesting how the main characters fought monsters and worked together.this book is about a boy named Percy Jackson. He is not a normal kid he is a half-blood which is a child of a Greek god and a mortal. For the summer Percy has to go to camp half-blood which is the only safe place where half-bloods will not get attacked by monsters. there he has to learn how to fight monsters and learn how to use weapons. After a couple day's of being at camp, Percy gets claimed by Poseidon, the god of the sea. Percy can control currents and make waves in streams and oceans can do much more. shortly after being at claimed Percy found out Zeus's lightning bolt is missing and Zeus thinks Percy took it. Percy his friend Grover, whois a stayr (half boy and half goat),also his friend Annabeth who he meet at camp only have ten days to bring it back to Zeus. And restore peace back to Olympus. 27. THEODORE BOONE /KID LAWYER BY JOHN GRISHAM.

In this book a thirteen year year old boy named Theodore Boone whose parents are both lawyers gets involved in a murder trial by accident. He has to decide wether or not to divulge the information to the judge which could change the outcome of the trial. But by doing so he would break the promise he made to a friend /student at his school which could get his cousin who is a illegal immigrant deported and go to jail.

The book is interesting because it taught me a lot about the judicial system, about what a judge and jury do in a court room. It also taught me about what lawyers do for a living.

This book is mostly for boys but i wouldn't be surprised if i saw a girl reading it too. On a scale of one to ten i would rate it a 9.

  28. I would give the book THE SEA OF MONSTERS 4 stars. Percy Jackson is no ordinary kid; he's half god, half boy. He has an empathy link (dream) that his guardian and best friend, Grover is in trouble. Percy's favorite place in the world CAMP-HALF-BLOOD, is under attack too. percy risks his life battling monsters and an evil cyclops in order to save Grover and camp. while reading this book i learned a lot about greek mythology. The author used humorous comments to break the characters stress. Percy deals many unfair situation, and never gives up. this book felt like i was watching a movie while i was reading.

  29. THE LIGHTNING THIEF
In my opinion THE LIGHTNING THIEF by Rick Riordan deserves five stars. This book features battles, tricks, and monsters at every turn, so you never know whats going to happen. Percy Jackson, is a ten year old boy who is blamed by the Greek God Zeus for stealing his master bolt. He teacher, who is a centar, and his friend who is a sayter help him take in the he is the son of Poseidon. Because this book has so much fantasy i couldn't tie the story to my life. Some Greek words in this book were hard to pronounce so i found it very frustrating. I don't think these imperfections should bring down the star rating because some readers may be able to tie the story to there life and some might be able to pronounce the Greek words. The author creates a fun new and new ways to communicate, such as Iris messaging. iris messaging is a phone line and picture formed by the Goddess Iris through mist and rainbow. i liked how the Gods tricked each other and it took a boy to put some sense into them.both boys and girls from the ages ten to thirteen will like this book because most of the characters are those ages.

I would give this book 4 stars, because this book was funny and great! I have one connection to the character Palmer and that is we both stick up to what we want. Palmer follows his heart even when times get tough. The book begins with a boy named Palmer LaRue that is having a birthday party for his ninth birthday. He invites three boys that are from a gang. The boys names are Beans[the leader],Mutt, and Henry.they gave Palmer a nickname,Snots. He is so happy he got a nickname because it makes him part of the gang. when everything was going great he meets a pigeon. The gang kills pigeons for fun and soon palmer will wring their necks when his tenth birthday comes. Palmer wants to keep the pigeon and keep it safe from the guys. he doesn't know if he will pick the pigeon or the gang. I like Palmer because he loves this pigeon that he found in a pigeon killing town and will do anything to protect it.I like how the author is creative with a boring subject and makes it into an exciting and adventurous book. I would recommend this book to any 4th to 6th graters, girl or boy, who likes pigeons and amusement.

This results in Picine trying to get Richard Parker, the zoo's adult, male,Bengal tiger into a life boat with him.
I would give this book ****1/2 stars because you should read this book. It's a bit controversial but still one of the best books I've read.

  32. THE LIGHTNING THIEF

I would give this book 5 stars because it was very exciting and so well written that i could not put it down. In fact, i read the whole 5 book series. this book is really gripping because it is based on greek mythology. My father has been reading greek myths from many different cultures since i was a baby. This story is about a New York boy, Percy Jackson, who is a demigod, the son of poseidon. He does not know that till his substitute teacher turns in to a fury from the underworld. Then zeus' master lightning bolt is stolen and percy is the prime suspect. He and his best friends Grover, the satyr and Annabeth, daughter of Athena, set out to find the real thief and the lightning bolt or there will be war among the gods. Along the way they fight monsters and gods. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about Greek mythology and loves adventure.

  33. Dragon Rider
I like DRAGON RIDER for being interesting, unpredictable, and exciting. The story is about a dragon named Firedrake, a brownie named sorrel, and a human named ben. They set out in search of the Rim of Heaven where the dragon can live in peace forever. Along the way they face sand elves, sea serpents, a thousand eyed djinn, and a ruthless villain determined to end there quest . The message of the this book is the true meaning of home. I can relate to Firedrakes quest for home. My family recently finished building our new house which took a lot of time and effort. Like my family, Firedrake waited and put much effort into trying to find a new home. I like Firedrake for being brave, courageous, and for never losing hope. Dragon rider is a good book so I rate it 4 stars and I think any boy or girl of any age would agree with me.

i learned a lot about Greek gods in this book.It has an exiting story to it. Percy has dyslexia and ADHD. He goes to a special schools but he gets kicked out every year. Percy finds out he is half god and things are changing a lot. If you like mythical creatures and Greek gods this is something you should read.

  37. Artemis Fowl is a twelve-year-old on a quest to obtain millions of dollars in gold, in the book ARTEMIS FOWL, written by Eoin Colpher. The story begins in Japan where he obtains the Elven book, which will prepare him when he comes face to face with the magical species of the underground world.
One of the species is fairies. Artemis captures a fairy named Holly Short to trade to the magical species in exchange for the gold. He had to overcome many obstacles to get and keep his gold such as the bio--bomb and the troll. What other obstacles will Artemis have to overcome to keep his gold? You'll have to read to find out!
Artemis Fowl was an interesting and action-packed book. The theme of this book was never give up because Artemis Fowl never stopped fighting. There were seven main characters, Artemis Fowl is a clever twelve-year-old mastermind. Buttler is Artemis' trusty bodyguard. Juliet was Buttler's younger sister, who was Artemis' maid. Holly Short was a captain in the LEP (Lower Element Police) which is the police force of the underground world. She was captured by Artemis and Buttler. Julius Root is a commander in the LEP, otherwise known as Commander Root. He's always on Hollys case. Foaly is the Fairy in charge of all the technical things. He gets on Root's nerves whenever he back talks. Mulch is a Dwarf who is a thief in the underground world. he's called in by the LEP to dig a hole into Artemis' house.
This book is for boys and girls. However, I think boys would be more interested because of the non-stop action. The age level for this book is eleven because of its advanced vocabulary. I would give this book four stars out of five because it was unpredictable, which made me never want to stop reading.
